Dr. Corey Gilliland has practiced medicine for fifteen years. He began his practice in the military under the Army's Special Operations Command. He trained as a Flight Surgeon and subsequently became a Battalion Surgeon in the 7th Special Forces Group. Dr. Gilliland deployed to Afghanistan after 9/11 and was the field medical officer over a large task force in remote areas of Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. He is trilingual, has received the Patient's Choice and Compassionate Doctor awards, and is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management. He has 6 children and lives in Anniston with his wife, Amelia Maness-Gilliland, PhD.
